Job Summary of CDL A Distribution Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Distribution Driver:
- Maneuver a tractor-trailer carefully to deliver merchandise to designated customer sites.
- Conduct the manual unloading and transportation of a variety of merchandise, ranging from meats and fruits to frozen foods, groceries, and dry goods.
- Build and sustain positive customer relationships through friendly interactions.
- Grasp customer operations to successfully address their needs and surpass their expectations.
- Maintain adherence to the allocated route schedules and meet the delivery deadlines promptly.
- Sustain a flawless driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and guidelines.
- Inspect vehicles for safety measures before and after each trip.
Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Distribution Driver:
- Only individuals who are 21 years of age or older may take part.
- Fulfill the criteria of a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Possess a clean driving record combined with a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) that is valid.
- Expertise in English communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet the requirements of overtime work, weekend shifts, and holiday coverage.
- One year of customer delivery service proficiency.
- Engaged in hand cart and hand truck responsibilities over a span of six months.
- Working for six months within the Food and Beverage field.
- Displaying two years of unwavering professional employment.
