Job Summary of Delivery Truck Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Delivery Truck Driver:
- Safely maneuver a tractor-trailer to distribute products to designated customer locations.
- Engage in the manual offloading and distribution of an assortment of items, spanning from meats and vegetables to frozen foods, essential groceries, and dry commodities.
- Establish and uphold favorable relationships with clients through friendly engagements.
- Understand customer operations in order to satisfy their demands and meet their standards.
- Comply with the assigned route plans and honor the delivery deadlines.
- Uphold a clear driving record and abide by every traffic regulation and law.
- Inspect vehicles for safety measures before and after each trip.
Qualifications and Experience of Delivery Truck Driver:
- Only individuals who are 21 years of age or older may take part.
- Satisfactorily pass both a background investigation and drug screening before starting a new job.
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) while upholding a clean driving record.
- Competence in English language proficiency.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Openness to adjusting work hours to cover overtime, weekends, and holiday periods as needed.
- 12 months of customer delivery service exposure.
- Proficient in utilizing hand carts and hand trucks for the past six months.
- Experience in Food and Beverage spanning six months.
- Maintaining a consistent work tenure for a period of two years.
