Job Summary of Shipping Specialist:
Conduct shipping and receiving operations to ensure orders are processed promptly and correctly. Organize inventory, assist with warehouse activities, and uphold safety measures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Shipping Specialist:
- Opt for, authenticate, and process items in line with sales order details.
- Securely package items for delivery to prevent any potential damage during shipping.
- Ensure customer returns are sent to the appropriate destinations for shipping.
- Utilize approved inventory organization techniques to categorize and store materials.
- Inform the warehouse supervisor of any inventory that does not meet the required standards or is in a damaged condition.
- Promote a culture of cleanliness, orderliness, and workplace safety.
- Securely deliver items to clients and collect necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Undertake counter sales or invoice handling as needed.
- Handle the operation of a forklift or equivalent equipment as needed.
- Add newly received inventory to the system to update customers on current stock levels.
- Undertake supplementary duties as needed.
Qualifications and Experience of Shipping Specialist:
- Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Core mathematics, comprehension of text, and computer competency.
- Skillful in lifting up to 50 pounds and relocating loads of up to 100 pounds.
- It might be essential to have forklift certification.
- It is essential to have a valid driver’s license and a positive driving history.
Salary:
The payment per hour is anywhere from $18.00 to $19.50
