Warehouse Shipping Coordinator
Job Summary of Warehouse Shipping Coordinator:
You will be tasked with executing different warehouse operations, like selecting, packaging, categorizing, transporting, accepting, and supervising inventory quantities. Your main responsibility is to ensure the precise and efficient completion of orders while complying with safety regulations and quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Warehouse Shipping Coordinator:
- Examine production timetables, client requests, or delivery instructions to identify required inventory transfers.
- Transport items and products from production or receiving zones to specified storage destinations.
- Classify and separate items by their unique SKU, total quantity, and type.
- Safely and effectively manage electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts during operation.
- Promote effective dialogue with receivers, drivers, check-in operators, and forklift handlers.
- Maintain safety standards during truck and trailer loading and unloading activities.
- Manage company-provided equipment diligently, including personal protective gear and voice communication devices.
- It is important to report any workplace safety concerns as soon as possible.
- Adhere to the mandatory dress code by wearing the uniform provided by the company.
- Compile customer orders and make them shipment-ready.
- Follow directions to label pallets accurately.
- Unfasten bales, boxes, and cases as necessary.
- Ensure that records of materials received and distributed are maintained with precision.
Qualifications and Experience of Warehouse Shipping Coordinator:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent, a GED, is a mandatory qualification.
- Candidates should possess one to three months of applicable experience and/or training, or an equal combination of educational background and practical familiarity.
- Having a background in operating warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, is a plus.
