Job Summary of Yard Spotter:

Be a vital part of Sysco’s Operations team as a Truck and Trailer Mover, ensuring efficient movement of vehicles for loading and unloading operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Yard Spotter:

• Collaborate with loaders and supervisors to relocate trucks and trailers based on door assignments.
• Ensure proper sealing and functioning of refrigeration units before moving vehicles.
• Transport trucks and trailers between docks to facilitate loading processes.
• Confirm secure loading before moving vehicles from the dock area.
• Coordinate with transportation and fleet management for equipment usage and repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck parking yard.
• Assist with truck receiving operations and perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience of Yard Spotter:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Preferably 1 year of warehouse or transportation experience, with truck backing experience being advantageous.
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid driver’s license required; Sysco’s Pallet Jack and Forklift Certification obtainable upon hiring.
