Job Summary of Distribution Specialist:

Working at a Sysco warehouse involves being an essential part of the foodservice supply chain where individuals are responsible for picking orders to be delivered to nearby foodservice outlets. This role requires physical activity and the use of electric pallet jacks and forklifts in environments that may have changing temperatures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Specialist:

• Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts proficiently to move items.
• Stack and consolidate items on pallets to ensure the accuracy of customer orders.
• Adhere to safety guidelines while working in spaces that have changing temperatures, including refrigerated, ambient, and frozen sections.
• Conduct all activities with a sharp focus on detail and a drive for producing work of exceptional quality.
• - Execute any further warehouse tasks required.

Qualifications and Experience of Distribution Specialist:

• The requirement is to be a minimum of 18 years old.
• No more than a year of applicable job experience.
• Repetitively hoist items ranging from 10 to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Having the possibility of reaching a height of 72 inches and working on foot for 10 to 12 hours daily.
• Adaptable to working conditions that involve low temperatures, such as freezers and coolers.
• Proficiency in operating electric pallet jacks or forklifts with a year of experience is preferred.
• Individuals with experience in warehouse operations, military service, or other physically strenuous jobs are preferred.
• Sought-after: Two years of steady employment.
