Job Summary of Class A Local Driver:

Sysco is expanding its team and is seeking individuals to join our workforce. The job involves accurately picking products in the warehouse and preparing them for dispatch to customer locations. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Class A Local Driver:

• Examine client requests and decide on items according to their allocated position and attributes
• Put together customer purchases using items from stock and place them on pallets in the accurate order
• Attach labels to items and maneuver electric pallet jacks for transportation to the dock area for staging
• Be mindful while managing products and alert supervisors of any breakage or problems
• Perform daily checks on equipment and provide assistance with facility sanitation as requested
• Utilize essential communication methods to comprehend work instructions and engage in teamwork alongside team members
• Conform to all safety policies and procedures in place for food safety

Qualifications and Experience of Class A Local Driver:

• Minimum age required is 18 years
• You can apply for this job without any previous experience
• Competent in moving and transporting items up to 100 pounds in weight
• Flexibility in handling work in extreme temperatures and being on your feet for long periods is a key requirement
• Capable of operating electric pallet jacks and forklifts effectively
• Having worked in warehouses, the military, or physically demanding fields can provide valuable experience
• Continuity in previous job positions is valued

Salary:

Depending on qualifications, experience, and other aspects, the hourly wage for this role can be anywhere between $10.00 and $48.00.
