Job Summary of CDL A Delivery Truck Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Delivery Truck Driver:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customer locations.
- Manually unload and deliver a variety of goods, including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and dry goods.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through friendly interactions.
- Familiarize oneself with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations.
- Adhere to assigned route schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Delivery Truck Driver:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- 1 year of customer delivery experience.
- 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience.
- 6 months of Food and Beverage experience.
- 2 years of consistent work history.
