Freight Delivery Driver
Job Summary of Freight Delivery Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Freight Delivery Driver:
- Safely navigate a tractor-trailer to bring goods to client destinations.
- Conduct the manual unloading and transportation of a variety of merchandise, ranging from meats and fruits to frozen foods, groceries, and dry goods.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through amiable interactions.
- Acquaint oneself with customer processes to align services with their needs and meet their expectations.
- Adhere to the specified delivery routes and ensure timely completion according to the deadlines.
- Ensure a spotless driving record and obey all traffic regulations and laws.
- Undertake pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Qualifications and Experience of Freight Delivery Driver:
- Only individuals who are 21 years of age or older may take part.
- Meet the requirements of a pre-employment background screening and drug examination.
- Possess an authorized Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) along with a spotless driving history.
- Skillfulness in communicating in English.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Readiness to accommodate extra work hours during weekends, holidays, and overtime as the situation demands.
- Experience in customer delivery spanning one year.
- Experienced in operating hand carts and hand trucks for a period of six months.
- Half a year’s worth of experience in Food and Beverage services.
- Displaying two years of unwavering professional employment.
