Route Truck Driver
Job Summary of Route Truck Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Route Truck Driver:
- Operating a large truck safely to distribute products to assigned customer locations.
- Carry out the manual unloading and delivery of various goods, from meats and produce to frozen items, groceries, and dry products.
- Maintain and cultivate positive connections with customers through friendly communication.
- Learn about customer functions to tailor services to their requirements and exceed their expectations.
- Adhere to the scheduled routes and ensure timely deliveries as per the deadlines.
- Uphold a clear driving record and abide by every traffic regulation and law.
- Complete pre-journey and post-journey checks on vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience of Route Truck Driver:
- To be eligible, individuals must be 21 years old or above.
- Comply with the pre-employment background check and drug screening standards.
- Keep a spotless driving history while holding a legitimate Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
- Ability to effectively convey messages in English.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Availability to work extra hours during weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Experience in customer delivery for a period of one year.
- Well-versed in hand cart and hand truck tasks through six months of experience.
- Six months of hands-on experience in Food and Beverage.
- Documenting a consecutive two-year work record.
