Job Summary of Warehouse Service Technician:

Join the Staples Supply Chain team and play a key role in maintaining the equipment that keeps our operations running smoothly.You will be responsible for performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including conveyors, motors, material handling tools, and more. Safety and efficiency are at the forefront of your responsibilities as you help Staples meet its operational goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Warehouse Service Technician:

• Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on various equipment, including conveyors, motors, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and more.
• Conduct general building maintenance such as overhead door repairs, carpentry tasks, and light plumbing duties.
• Use vendor manuals and procedures for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Work with various power material handling equipment like forklifts and electric pallet jacks, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety procedures and practices.

Qualifications and Experience of Warehouse Service Technician:

• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics, and the ability to read blueprints / schematics, including electrical schematics.
• Experience using vendor manuals to perform maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to become certified in material handling equipment (MHE) operation, such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying seasonal temperatures and a commitment to safety protocols.
• Basic English language skills, both verbal and written.

Salary:

Competitive pay rate starting at $21.00 - $27.00 / hour, plus $2.00 shift differential.
