Job Summary of CDL A Local Route Driver:

Sysco is currently hiring to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products in the warehouse and preparing them for shipping to customer locations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment are crucial for success in this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Local Route Driver:

• Assess customer orders and choose merchandise based on their specified location and details
• Collect items from the available inventory and arrange them in the correct sequence on pallets for customer orders
• Tag merchandise and employ electric pallet jacks for moving them to the dock area to prepare for staging
• Handle items with caution and report any defects or issues to higher authorities promptly
• Ensure equipment is checked daily and aid in facility cleanliness when required
• Apply basic communication techniques to interpret work instructions and collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Observe and follow safety policies and procedures regarding food safety

Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Local Route Driver:

• Participants must have crossed the threshold of 18 years
• No prior expertise is mandatory for this role
• Demonstrates the capacity to lift and carry goods that are as heavy as 100 pounds
• The capability to adjust to working in extreme temperatures and prolonged standing is a vital aspect of the job
• Knowledgeable in the operation of electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Experience in warehouse operations, the armed forces, or physically active roles can be a significant asset
• Preference given to candidates with an unbroken work trajectory

Salary:
