Intermediate Pension Analyst
Job Summary:
Become a Mid-level Retirement Income Specialist and contribute to USAA’s mission of securing the financial future of military members and their families. With this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the retirement income requirements of members, providing suitable counsel, and suggesting recommendations that support their financial stability.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Field inquiries related to retirement from a variety of communication streams like phone calls, emails, and even social media messages.
- Gather pertinent data and create personalized retirement strategies based on individual needs.
- Help members plan for their retirement future by guiding them towards creating a solid retirement plan that includes setting financial goals and determining their risk tolerance.
- Make outbound calls to circle back on previous conversations and act as a valuable asset to team members.
- Adherence to risk and compliance regulations and policies is essential for maintaining a secure and trustworthy organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- The possession of either a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma is mandatory.
- To ensure that one is qualified to give advice on financial matters, one must possess a valid Maintenance of Life/Health license as well as the FINRA Series 7 license and FINRA Series 66 license (or 63 and 65).
- Applicants must possess a minimum of four years of experience in either the financial industry or sales.
- Effective communication, sharp analytical abilities, and adeptness at multitasking are valuable skills in any professional setting.
- Proficient in resolving conflicts, negotiating deals, and leading teams, I possess tremendous expertise in these areas.

- Experience in the US military or a connection to it is a common thread among a significant portion of the American population.
- Having a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in selling annuities.
- Proficient in managing inbound and outbound call center activities, with extensive experience in providing customer service and fostering positive relationships with clients.
- Achieving the Retirement Income Certified Professional Designation (RICP) is a significant accomplishment in the field of retirement planning.
