Job Summary of Staples Truck Driver:

This role play a crucial role in transporting products safely to our customers. You will be responsible for delivering office supplies on your assigned route. Your safety and customer service are essential, as you ensure safe driving practices, load your truck, and deliver products efficiently. This role is vital to the success of Staples’ Supply Chain network.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Staples Truck Driver:

• Safely transport products and deliver office supplies to customers along your assigned route.
• Ensure safety at all times by following safety practices and fostering a safety-first culture.
• Organize and load products according to the delivery manifest for an efficient route and schedule.
• Provide exceptional customer service by handling product returns and solving customer issues.
• Represent the Staples brand by maintaining professionalism and building strong relationships with customers.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness and safety standards of the delivery vehicle.

Qualifications and Experience of Staples Truck Driver:

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC), and obtain a 6-month DOT medical card.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work additional hours, including overtime, based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs, and push/pull items weighing up to 400lbs with hand carts / material handling equipment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of truck driving experience, and high volume package delivery experience.

Salary:

Competitive pay: $22.50 / hour - $24.75 / hour, based on experience.
