Job Summary of Postal Sales Associate:

This position is responsible for assisting customers with their needs at the front-end of the store, ensuring smooth transactions and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The individual is expected to provide excellent customer service, accurately process transactions, and follow store policies to ensure a positive customer experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Postal Sales Associate:

• Greets customers with a smile, answers questions, and resolves customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Sells postage stamps and other supplies, processes customer packaging and shipping needs.
• Operates POS registers, RSSBP unit for transaction processing, and scanning equipment for checkout procedures.
• Ensures accuracy during transactions, collects appropriate funds (cash, checks, electronic payments), and follows security protocols to prevent overages and shortages.
• Assists customers with questions throughout the store, uses phones and intercoms to make necessary pages.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the department, follows cleaning schedules, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.
• Monitors stock levels at checkout, orders supplies, and ensures organized merchandise displays.
• Works cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to improve job performance and store operations.
• Utilizes company-provided PPE (e.g., cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, footwear) in accordance with safety standards.
• Assists in other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience of Postal Sales Associate:

• Completed or currently pursuing a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
