Job Summary of CDL A Truck Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Truck Driver:
- Ensure the secure operation of a semi-truck to fulfill deliveries to client sites.
- Handle the manual unloading and transportation of diverse merchandise, which may include meat products, fresh produce, frozen items, groceries, and non-perishable goods.
- Foster positive connections with customers by having pleasant exchanges.
- Get to know customer processes to better cater to their needs and meet their expectations.
- Stick to the specified itinerary schedules and adhere to the delivery time constraints.
- Ensure a pristine record behind the wheel and follow all traffic laws and ordinances.
- Complete pre-journey and post-journey checks on vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Truck Driver:
- The minimum age requirement for this activity is 21 years and above.
- Meet the requirements of a pre-employment background screening and drug examination.
- Have a legitimate Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and maintain a clear driving record.
- Skillfulness in communicating in English.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to be flexible with availability for overtime, weekend shifts, and holiday work if necessary.
- A year of familiarity with customer delivery operations.
- Familiarity with hand cart and hand truck operations spanning a period of six months.
- A six-month background in Food and Beverage operations.
- Showing two years of steady work experience.
