Job Summary of CDL A Transport Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Transport Driver:
- Maneuver a tractor-trailer carefully to deliver merchandise to designated customer sites.
- Manage the manual unloading and delivery of a selection of goods, including meats, produce, frozen items, groceries, and dry goods.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through amiable interactions.
- Understand customer procedures to ensure their needs are met and expectations are satisfied.
- Follow the prescribed route schedules diligently and ensure on-time deliveries as required.
- Preserve a clean driving record and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Carry out vehicle assessments before departure and after arrival.
Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Transport Driver:
- Those who wish to participate must be at least 21 years old.
- Meet the requirements of a pre-employment background screening and drug examination.
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) while upholding a clean driving record.
- Proficient English communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Capacity to adapt working hours to meet the demands of overtime, weekends, and holiday shifts.
- 12 months of practical experience in customer delivery.
- Applied knowledge and expertise in hand cart and hand truck duties for six months.
- Working for six months within the Food and Beverage field.
- Having a reliable two-year employment background.
