Job Summary of Warehouse Assistant:
Engage in shipping and receiving activities to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate maer. Manage inventory organization, assist in warehouse functions, and enforce safety protocols.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Warehouse Assistant:
- Hand-select, verify, and ship items as per sales order specifications.
- Get shipments ready for transportation, ensuring that items are securely packaged to avoid any potential damage.
- Arrange for the delivery of customer returns to designated locations.
- Organize and manage inventory in accordance with established storage practices.
- Advise the warehouse supervisor of any inventory that has been deemed faulty or subpar.
- Foster a work setting that is orderly, uncluttered, and prioritizes safety.
- Carry out item deliveries to clients and confirm receipt through signed documentation.
- Handle counter sales or customer invoices in accordance with requirements.
- Utilize a forklift or similar equipment as needed for the job.
- Log new inventory in the system to ensure customers have accurate information on stock levels.
- Fulfill additional tasks as requested.
Qualifications and Experience of Warehouse Assistant:
- Fulfilling the academic criteria with a high school diploma or GED.
- Elementary math skills, reading interpretation, and proficiency in using computers.
- Competent in lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and moving objects up to 100 pounds.
- Forklift certification might be a mandatory qualification.
- In order to be considered, applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a commendable driving record.
Salary:
The hourly income is within the range of $18.00 to $19.50
